The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle

Campaign is part of a century old tradition to contribute towards building strong communities by helping TSA to give hope to others.

The Christmas Kettle

Host is a temporary seasonal position responsible for engaging donors, safeguarding donations, representing The Salvation Army in a professional manner, and supporting the successful operation of assigned kettle locations. Remain at the Kettle for the full shift (until relieved), ensuring security of donations received. Work with minimal supervision.

Must comply with all Salvation Army policies, procedures, and associated legislation. This is a temporary position starting November 13, 2026, for our Christmas Kettle Campaign, which operates on approximately 24 scheduled days between November 13 and December 24, 2026. Individual shifts may range from 2 to 4 hours, and total weekly working hours may vary depending on campaign needs and scheduling availability.

Shifts may include days, afternoons, evenings, and weekend shifts,



Monday through Saturday. Work in compliance with OH&S; Act and Regulations and abide by The Salvation Army's health and safety policies and procedures. completion of high school is an asset. Up to one year of related experience or working in customer service Money handling experience is an asset Related experience is an asset Willingness to develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities.

Strong customer service skills; enjoy liaising and working with people of all ages and abilities Willingness to be flexible and work well under pressure with daily timelines and changing priorities Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in the handling of donor, volunteer, and organizational information.
