Role: HRIS Analyst
Location: Montreal, QC
Duration: 12 Months
About the Role
As a key member of the HR Analytics & Insights team, the HRIS Analyst serves as a strategic partner to HR stakeholders and IT functions across the Americas. This role owns end-to-end support, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of the HR technology ecosystem — both standard enterprise platforms and proprietary in-house applications. The successful candidate acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) driving digital transformation: automating workflows, streamlining data integration, and aligning regional practices with global standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Program Management
Lead HRIS initiatives, partnering with HR and non-HR business units; act as primary liaison between IT, end-users, and project teams
Contribute to the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) — requirements, functional design, implementation, UAT
Evaluate and prioritize HRIS projects based on business impact, scalability, and resources
Refine the HR/HR-IT operating model to improve user experience and incident resolution
Act as regional SME driving strategic alignment between Local and Global HR/IT teams
Systems Administration & Technical Support
Provide advanced technical support to HR professionals and end-users
Troubleshoot complex HRIS data discrepancies and interface failures; escalate critical issues
Execute the HRIS control framework to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements
Manage development backlog with IT; communicate system changes to stakeholders
Administer HR Java-based applications; audit employee lifecycle data (hires, transfers, terminations)
Data Integrity & Analytics
Design and execute complex queries, data reconciliations, and integrity audits
Develop reports validating employee information integrity
Support system configuration changes and large-scale record updates
Manage data uploads and reconciliations between PeopleSoft HCM and ancillary Payroll/Compensation systems
Required Qualifications
5-7 years of HRIS experience
Experience with HRIS Systems (PeopleSoft HCM preferred)
Experience developing, enhancing, and troubleshooting PeopleSoft Queries
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, software lifecycle testing mindset
Excellent written/verbal communication — technical and non-technical audiences
Outstanding organizational skills, detail-oriented, able to multi-task under deadline pressure
Comfortable operating autonomously in a quick-paced, multicultural environment
Client-oriented, strong stakeholder collaboration skills
Nice to Have
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience/training
Knowledge of HR processes
Knowledge of the banking industry
Analytical and project management skills
