Location: Remote within New Brunswick Alcool NB Liquor (ANBL) is a p rovincial Crown c orporation responsible for the purchase, importation, distribution, and retail activity for all beverage alcohol in the province. Our sister company, Cannabis NB (CNB), manages retail cannabis sales for the province, providing safe and legal products while focusing on education, safety and responsible access. Together, ANBL & CNB return 100% of profits to the Government of New Brunswick to benefit all New Brunswickers while responsibly serving customer and communities across the province.

The HRBP works closely with colleagues in HR to implement and enhance the HR vision and agenda for their partner groups. They are constantly ensuring process and policy compliance and communicating employee relations strategies for bargaining and non-bargaining team members. They also help team leads and managers get more comfortable and confident in their roles and work closely with leadership to foster a culture of engagement.
Reporting to the Manager of Employee Experience, the HRBP is a dedicated contact for certain partner groups within the organization, advising on performance management, making sure team members feel heard, and taking action with what they’ve learned. The HRBP acts as the bridge between teams, their people, and leadership, ensuring an engaged, productive, and efficient workforce. As a strategic partner to the business, the HRBP helps to balance risk while considering employee, team, and business perspectives.
They have a constant pulse on their partner groups and provide critical updates and recommendations to their HR colleagues about vacancies, training programs, and health & safety. Research, investigate, and resolve employee relations issues. Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals, as well as policies, employment issues, and workplace challenges.
Support performance, attendance, and disability management programs. Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation,
and organizational development. Participate in the continual development of HR programs, such as recruitment, retention, compensation, benefits, and learning & development. engagement, job levels, and attrition), policies, By-Laws, and legislation to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to their partner group.
Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Industrial Relations, or similar ~4+ years progressive experience in a Human Resources function as a Generalist or Labour Relations Specialist ~ Advanced Microsoft Office skills ~ Strong problem solving, change management, and project management skills. ~ Would be an asset if you had: Experience working in or supporting a retail environment.
Experience working with data analytics.
Strategic Thinking & Business Acumen: Understands business goals and aligns HR strategies accordingly. Works collaboratively with all stakeholders and breaks down silos across HR and business.
Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Handles complex and sensitive employee issues in a respectful and timely manner.
Leadership Coaching & Development: Coaches leaders on performance, team dynamics, and leadership style. Supports growth of current and emerging leaders in the organization. Bilingualism in both official languages is an asset.
The successful candidate must be based in Current Brunswick, this role is a remote. Semi-regular travel for meetings and project work may be required. Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental coverage and a generous pension plan.
