As our Human Resources Coordinator, you won't just be processing paperwork. This position reports to the Manager – Human Resources and will generally work Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Lead and assist with the recruitment and selection process
- Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and lead interviews
- Manage applicant tracking and document the candidate lifecycle in our HRIS
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Represent Inland Steel Products at career fairs and recruitment events
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Lead current hire orientation
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding tasks with all departments
- Track employee milestone events and prepare related documentation
Human Resources Support
- Respond to inquiries and support team members
- Prepare employee documentation
- Maintain employee file records
- Lead social committee initiatives
- Participate in and promote our safety program
Payroll and Benefits Support
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing, payroll reporting, and year-end requirements
- Administer group benefit and RRSP enrolments and changes, and assist employees with benefit and disability forms
- Complete government wage and salary surveys

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business with a major in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in the Human Resources functions of recruitment, onboarding, or administration
- Working knowledge of Human Resources best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with HRIS software and Microsoft Office (UKG Ready experience is an asset)
- A high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse workforce at all levels of the organization
- A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and the ability to travel to company locations and events
