- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to policies, payroll and perks
- Support managers with day-to-day employee matters and escalate more complex issues when appropriate
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, team events and recognition initiatives
- Support performance management and compensation review processes
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR files and HR systems
- Coordinate payroll inputs and benefits enrolment and changes
- Support compliance with Ontario employment standards, health and safety requirements and applicable U.S. requirements
- Assist with developing and updating HR policies, processes and the employee handbook
- Track HR metrics including headcount, turnover and time to hire
- Contribute to business projects outside of HR, such as events, systems implementations, office initiatives and other cross-functional projects

What You'll Bring

- 3–5 years of hands-on HR experience
- Strong full-cycle recruitment experience
- Solid knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR practices

- CHRP designation or working toward it is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfort working with HR systems, payroll platforms and Microsoft Excel
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to take on work outside a traditional HR
- Experience in a small or fast-growing organization is an asset
- U.S. HR experience is an asset
- Consumer packaged goods, food or beverage industry experience is an asset

What We Offer

- Competitive salary
- Group benefits
- Hybrid work environment
