Independent Registered Nurse Director of Care Services

Business-to-Business Contract for Professional Nursing Services

Niagara Region, Ontario

MyWish Healthcare Solutions Inc. invites expressions of interest from independent Registered Nurses who operate their own business and are interested in contracting with MyWish to provide Director of Care and professional nursing services.

This is an opportunity for an established independent nursing professional or nursing company to add MyWish Healthcare Solutions Inc. as a business client.

This request is not an employment opportunity. MyWish is seeking an independent nursing service provider operating an established business and capable of providing professional services under a business-to-business contract.

Services MyWish Is Seeking The selected independent nursing service provider may be contracted to provide services including:

- initial and ongoing client nursing assessments;
- client follow-up visits and care reviews;
- reassessment when client circumstances or care requirements change;
- professional nursing input into client care and service planning;
- review of clinical concerns and matters requiring nursing judgment;
- recommendations concerning appropriate HSW, PSW, RPN and RN service requirements;
- clinical documentation and quality review;
- communication with clients, authorized family members and substitute decision-makers where appropriate;
- review and escalation of identified client safety or clinical concerns;
- professional nursing support related to the quality and continuity of MyWish client services; and
- other mutually agreed professional nursing services within the contracted scope.

In-Person and Virtual Service Delivery Some client circumstances may require an in-person nursing assessment, follow-up or review.

Where the contracted Director of Care is available, the Director of Care may attend the client personally.

Where the Director of Care cannot attend a required client visit in person, MyWish may arrange for another appropriately qualified nurse to attend the client location. The contracted Director of Care may participate through secure video conferencing to support completion of the assessment or review, where professionally appropriate.

Each nurse remains responsible for practising within their own professional scope, competence and obligations.

The Independent Business We Are Seeking

MyWish is interested in hearing from Registered Nurses who:

- hold current RN registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
- operate their own independent business or incorporated professional service;




- maintain the professional liability protection and other insurance appropriate to their business and professional services;
- have demonstrated nursing assessment and care-planning experience;
- can exercise independent qualified nursing judgment;
- maintain strong clinical documentation practices;
- are comfortable communicating with clients, families, substitute decision-makers and healthcare professionals;
- understand privacy, consent and professional accountability requirements;
- can provide services both remotely and in person when required and agreed;
- have the business infrastructure necessary to independently manage their contracted professional services; and
- are interested in developing an ongoing business relationship with MyWish.

Experience in home and community care, private-pay healthcare, retirement living, long-term care, older-adult care, complex care, clinical quality or nursing leadership would be valuable.

Previous employment under the title Director of Care is not necessarily required. MyWish is interested in demonstrated professional capability relevant to the services being contracted.

Independent Business Relationship The selected service provider will operate as an independent business contracting with MyWish Healthcare Solutions Inc.

The independent business will remain responsible for its own business operations, professional obligations, registrations, insurance, taxes, remittances, equipment, communications, administration and ordinary operating expenses.

The service provider will retain responsibility for how it organizes and operates its own business, subject to the agreed scope of services, client requirements, professional obligations, privacy requirements and the terms of the executed contract for services.

There is no salary, hourly wage, employee benefit package, vacation pay or other employee compensation associated with this request for expressions of interest.

Professional service fees and the applicable basis for compensation will be established in the contract for services agreed between MyWish and the selected independent business.

Approved Client-Visit Kilometres

Ordinary business and operating expenses remain the responsibility of the independent service provider.

Where MyWish specifically requests or approves an in-person client visit by the contracted Director of Care,



kilometres authorized in advance by MyWish may be submitted as an approved business expense in accordance with the reimbursement terms established between the parties.

Other expenses require prior written approval to be eligible for reimbursement.

Expression of InterestIndependent Registered Nurses or nursing businesses interested in exploring a contractual relationship with MyWish are invited to submit an Expression of Interest.

4. Business location and geographic service area
5. Summary of relevant nursing and clinical experience
6. Experience conducting client assessments, care planning and reassessments
7. Experience with home care, community care, retirement living, long-term care or related services, where applicable
8. Description of your current independent nursing or professional-services business
9. General availability for contracted client assessments and follow-ups
10. Ability to provide services within the Niagara Region
11. Ability to participate through secure video conferencing when appropriate
12. Confirmation that appropriate professional liability protection and business insurance are maintained or can be demonstrated before contracting
13. Your proposed professional fee structure or commercial terms for providing the requested services
14. Any additional information you believe would assist MyWish in evaluating a potential business relationship

A résumé, professional biography, capability statement, business profile or other supporting information may also be included. Evaluation of Expressions of Interest

MyWish will review expressions of interest based on the requirements of the services being sought, including:

- professional nursing qualifications;
- relevant clinical experience;
- assessment and care-planning capability;
- professional judgment and accountability;
- documentation practices;
- client and family communication;
- experience relevant to MyWish client populations;
- capacity to provide the required services;
- independent business capability;
- proposed commercial arrangement; and
- overall alignment with the contracted service requirements.

Submission of an Expression of Interest does not create an employment relationship, guarantee a contract, or obligate either party to enter into a business relationship. Any engagement will be subject to satisfactory due diligence, agreement on scope and commercial terms, and execution of a written contract for services.
