Serving at the Four Directions Indigenous Student Centre (FDISC), you will provide crisis and personal counselling to Indigenous students, addressing their emotional and academic needs.
Your role is vital for connecting cultural knowledge with academic achievements while fostering a supportive learning setting. Collaboration with other departments and the local community is key to enhancing program effectiveness. Conduct personal and short-term crisis counselling sessions
- Coordinate traditional events and cultural programming
- Evaluate student needs for academic accommodations
- Establish a referral network for student support Master’s Degree plus 5+ years of experience
- Transparent Criminal Records Check required
- Deep understanding of Indigenous culture and trauma-informed care Support Indigenous students' diverse needs through integrated wellness and cultural initiatives at Queen's University.
