Your Story Counselling Services is actively expanding our team. We are seeking a skilled Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a primary focus on Couples Therapy to join our busy Markham location.

This position offers a flexible hybrid model (combining in-office hours in Markham with virtual care) and provides a strong referral pipeline to help you build and maintain a thriving caseload.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality in-person couples and individual therapy at our Markham office, complemented by virtual video sessions.
- Manage client caseloads independently, including maintaining timely, accurate clinical documentation.
- Offer available hours during peak client demand times (including at least one weekday evening and/or weekend availability).
- Deliver culturally competent, post-modern systemic therapy tailored to diverse clientele in the Greater Toronto Area.

Core Qualifications
- Licensure: Active member in good standing with a recognized regulatory body in Ontario (CRPO or OCSWSSW).
- Education:



Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, Psychotherapy, or a related field.
- Clinical Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of general clinical practice experience.
- Minimum 1–2 years of direct experience conducting Couples Therapy.
- Modality Alignment: Strong background in post-modern/systemic modalities (e.g., Emotionally Focused Therapy [EFT], Gottman Method, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy [SFBT], Dialogic).
- Work Setting: Comfortable providing both in-person sessions in Markham and secure telehealth sessions.

Preferred Qualifications & Assets
- Specialization or advanced training in Sex Therapy, Gottman Therapy, EFT, or Trauma-informed work.
- Multilingual skills (e.g., Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Hindi, Punjabi, Korean, Spanish, or other languages spoken across Markham/York Region).
- A long-term vision to grow alongside a warm, collaborative private practice team.
