Underground and subsea cable technology are, in particular, increasingly becoming a major player in this energy paradigm shift to enable large-scale and long-distance power transmission.

Develop HV/EHV cabling systems specifications, concept/detailed design and design review, estimation, site supervision and support as required. Provide technical support to the team on all aspects of HV cable system engineering and design. Confirm correct and accurate interface with other engineering functions involved in the projects, Attend and conduct internal and external meetings with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors Support factory inspections Test (FAT).





Perform technical calculations including cable size, rating calculations, electromechanical and thermomechanical forces and EMF calculations, heath induced voltage calculations Confirm that inspection and test plans are completed as required by the specifications, including a check of dimension accuracy and quality We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations, enabling them to deliver their best work. #Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical or related engineering discipline, from a recognized institution. Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum 8 years of direct experience with underground and/or subsea cable design and installation.

Ability to work with cable design software such as CYMCAP. Ability and willingness to travel within North America.
