Energy as a Receiving Inspector and play a key role in ensuring the quality of materials and components entering our power transformer manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for verifying that incoming products meet technical, quality, and compliance requirements before they are released for production. Working in a high‑tech industrial environment, you will collaborate closely with Quality, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction worldwide.

Effectuer des inspections et évaluations de la qualité des matériaux et composantes reçus des fournisseurs. Lire et interpréter des plans techniques, schémas électriques et spécifications afin de vérifier la conformité des produits. Mesurer les dimensions des produits, vérifier leur fonctionnalité et les comparer aux exigences établies.

Identifier et rejeter les produits ou matériaux non conformes aux standards de qualité. Participer aux analyses de causes racines lors de détection de non-conformités. Documenter les résultats d’inspection et compléter les rapports requis avec rigueur.

Préparer et valider la documentation qualité associée aux produits, incluant celle destinée aux clients. Utiliser les systèmes internes tels que SAP, Poka, QN et les outils d’identification des produits. Collaborer aux initiatives d’amélioration continue et participer aux différents comités d’amélioration.

Assurer le respect des procédures qualité, des exigences de sécurité et des standards organisationnels.

Comment Vous

Aurez un Impact (English) Perform quality inspections and evaluations of incoming materials and components received from suppliers. Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications to verify product compliance. Identify and reject products or materials that do not meet quality standards.

Support root cause analysis activities related to supplier non-conformities. Document inspection findings and complete detailed inspection reports. Prepare and validate quality documentation, including records provided to customers with delivered products.

Utilize internal systems such as SAP, Poka, QN, and product identification tools.



Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality-related committees. DEP incluant un module de lecture de plans ou expérience équivalente en inspection.

Entre 0 et 12 mois d’expérience pertinente en inspection ou contrôle de la qualité. Bonne capacité à lire et interpréter des plans techniques. Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office. Connaissance du système métrique et du système de mesures impérial/international.

Souci du détail et rigueur dans l’application des normes de qualité. Capacité à travailler dans un environnement industriel incluant des activités extérieures. Connaissance de la soudure (un atout). Communication fréquente avec les partenaires internes et externes, les fournisseurs ainsi que certains intervenants situés à l’extérieur du Québec.

La connaissance de l’anglais, en plus du français, est requise afin de répondre aux exigences opérationnelles du poste et d’assurer une collaboration efficace avec l’ensemble des parties prenantes.

Your Background

Candidate must already have work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in Canada. ~ Vocational diploma (DEP) including blueprint reading training or equivalent inspection experience. ~0 to 12 months of relevant experience in inspection or quality control. ~ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. ~ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. ~ Knowledge of both metric and international measurement systems. ~ Strong teamwork, self‑control, communication, influence, and decision‑making skills. ~ High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. ~ Ability to work in an industrial environment, including outdoor activities when required. ~ Ability to operate industrial vehicles and aerial work platforms. ~ Welding knowledge is considered an asset. ~ Knowledge of English, in addition to French, is required to meet the operational needs of the position and ensure effective collaboration with all parties involved.
