A-Kan Insurance Ltd. is looking for a motivated, sales-driven Licensed Insurance Producer to join our growing team in Alberta.

This is a commission-based position designed for a self-motivated insurance professional who enjoys prospecting, networking, building client relationships, and developing their own book of business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable generating new business opportunities and managing the sales process from prospecting through policy placement.

Key Responsibilities

- Prospect, network, and independently generate new business opportunities.
- Build and grow your own portfolio of Personal and Commercial Insurance clients.
- Conduct outside sales, networking, and community outreach to develop new relationships.
- Manage your sales pipeline from lead generation through policy placement.
- Assess clients' insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
- Clearly explain policy coverages, options, limitations, and exclusions.
- Work with insurance markets to obtain competitive coverage and pricing.
- Develop long-term client relationships to support retention, referrals, and account growth.
- Stay informed about insurance products, market developments, and business opportunities.
- Provide professional and responsive customer service throughout the sales process.

Qualifications
- Valid Alberta General Insurance Licence – mandatory.
- Previous insurance sales or business development experience is an asset.
- Robust sales, prospecting, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation,



and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a commission-based sales environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
