If our ethos resonates with you, we'd love for you to join us!As a technology first company, we're currently looking for an Intermediate Data Engineer to join our team.The Role: As an Intermediate Data Engineer at FTS, you will report to the Head of Engineering with the responsibility of building and maintaining data pipelines, integrations, and infrastructure that support our travel technology platform.

You will work closely with senior engineers, analysts, and product teams to ensure data is reliable, well-structured, and accessible across the organization.Responsibilities:

Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data from internal and third-party sources.

Support the development and optimization of data models in our data warehouse environment.

Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot data quality issues, and implement fixes proactively.

Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand data needs and deliver reliable datasets.

Document data flows, schemas, and processes to support team knowledge and maintainability.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Assist in evaluating and integrating new data tools and technologies.





Support the migration and consolidation of data sources as the platform evolves.

Contribute to sprint planning, stand-ups, and agile ceremonies.

Work with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business requirements.Experience/Skills Required:

2–4 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.

Solid proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and pipeline development.

Hands-on experience with at least one pipeline orchestration tool (Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar).

Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure Synapse.

Familiarity with data modeling concepts and dimensional design.

Understanding of REST APIs and experience integrating third-party data sources.

Exposure to version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.

Strong attention to detail and data quality mindset.

Valuable communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Experience in travel technology or e-commerce is an asset.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.What you can expect from us:
