SafeOps Response Inc is a growing workplace health and safety company based in Calgary, Alberta. After three years in business, we are continuing to expand our services and client base throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.

We are looking for an Intermediate Health & Safety Representative to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in workplace health and safety, with practical experience and a desire to continue developing their skills while supporting clients with their health and safety needs.

The successful candidate will work directly with SafeOps team members and clients, providing health and safety support both in the office and in the field.

About the Role

This position offers a seasonal mix of field and Calgary-based work. From Fall through Winter, the role is primarily field-based, with out-of-town travel for client-specific projects. Field work runs on a rotational schedule (for example, 24 days on followed by 4 days off at home), and rotation length may vary based on project requirements. Rotation days off are paid as part of the annual salary and are separate from vacation time.

In Spring and Summer, the role is based in Calgary, supporting clients at their local site locations, with flexibility to work from home when not on site.

Travel, Accommodations & Transportation For out-of-town work, SafeOps covers hotel accommodations and provides a daily meal allowance based on the jobsite (meals are included at camp locations).

Reliable transportation is required. Candidates who use their own pickup truck for out-of-town work will be compensated through mileage or a day rate. If you don't have a pickup truck, SafeOps will provide a rental truck for out-of-town projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide health and safety support to clients at various worksites
- Conduct site visits, inspections, observations and safety assessments
- Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety programs




- Support clients with SECOR and COR-related requirements and documentation
- Assist with safety manuals, Safe Work Practices (SWPs), Safe Job Procedures (SJPs), forms and other H&S; documentation
- Assist clients with safety compliance requirements and documentation
- Complete and maintain safety inspections, reports and corrective action documentation
- Assist with incident reporting and investigations
- Provide toolbox talks and safety orientations as required
- Support clients with audit preparation and ongoing compliance
- Work with safety compliance software and client management systems
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Build positive working relationships with clients, employees and contractors
- Travel to client sites and perform field-based safety work
- Assist with general office-based health and safety projects as required

Qualifications & Requirements

- Health & Safety certificate required
- Standard First Aid certification required (SafeOps will provide the training if you don't currently hold it)
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a health and safety role
- Seismic industry experience/background is an asset
- Working knowledge and understanding of SECOR and COR programs
- Familiarity with safety compliance and contractor management systems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple client requirements
- Qualified and approachable when working with clients and field personnel
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation




- Ability and willingness to work seasonal out-of-town field rotations and travel to client worksites within Calgary and surrounding areas
