About the Role:
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying core software applications across our suite of clean-tech products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, smart grid engineers, and platform developers; to build end-to-end features that collect, process, and optimize complex time-series data for renewable energy grids and electric vehicle fleets.
Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software services and applications for our SaaS products.
- Integrate data ingestion pipelines and machine learning models into production software environments for real-time predictions and energy optimization.
- Analyze, scope, review, and estimate software engineering tasks within agile delivery cycles.
- Collaborate on backend components and Grafana dashboards, ensuring robust APIs, data layer performance,
efficient feature workflows, failure alerting, and service oversight.
- Continuous improvement of code quality, unit/integration test coverage, and software documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Be an active contributor in design reviews, peer code reviews, and technical planning discussions. Take pride in your work, and create systems worth having your name on.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
Required Qualifications• 2 years of professional software development experience with strong foundations in Golang, Java, Python, or modern TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience building RESTful API services for data-intensive applications.
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and basic deployment concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code following modern CI/CD practices, version controlling, standard development practices.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
Assets / Nice-to-Haves• Experience working with time-series data / databases (e.g. TimescaleDB, InfluxDB).
- Familiarity with distributed streaming or data integration pipeline tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Kafka).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Helm).
- Exposure to smart grid concepts, IoT telemetry, energy management systems, or EV fleet analytics.
