Join the Isaac Waldman Jewish Public Library as the Acting Head Librarian, managing a community library's services and programs during a leave. This role requires hands-on leadership in a vibrant setting. As the Acting Head Librarian, you will ensure daily library operations run smoothly while providing excellent patron service.
You will spearhead engaging programming, oversee a small team, and strengthen partnerships within the community. Candidates should have a depth of knowledge in library systems, superior organizational skills, and enthusiasm for community-focused initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the library’s daily functions and services
- Develop innovative programs tailored for all ages
- Supervise, recruit,
and train library staff and volunteers
- Collaborate with community partners on educational events
- Coordinate fundraising and grant writing initiatives
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in Library Science or equivalent
- Experience with library operations and outreach
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to community service
- Proficient in technology and library management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Support community engagement and promote literacy resources as the Acting Head Librarian.
