Residential Building Attendant Date: Sep 23, 2026 Lookout Housing and Health Society Full Time - Temporary until incumbent return We provide housing and a range of support services to adults with low or no income who have few, if any, housing or support options. Sunday through Thursday Shift times will be 1600 - 0000 Hours Shifts are 7.5 hours in length The Building Attendant (BA) reports to the Site Manager and works in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Lookout Housing and Health Society, including following Lookout’s Code of Ethics.

Building

Attendants perform a variety of administrative, maintenance, and security functions within the residence managed by Lookout. This position requires successful completion of respirator fit testing, as Lookout is COR (Certificate of Recognition) certified and must comply with WorkSafeBC health and safety requirements. To ensure a proper respirator seal during fit testing and use, employees are required to be clean-shaven where the respirator seals against the face.

Administrative tasks related to property management such as:



rent collection, security deposits, petty cash Maintenance work and repair duties such as repairing furniture, installing switches, replacing plugs, and other basic appliance repairs Performs a variety of cleaning duties, garbage removal, and monitors disposal services Monitors condition and cleanliness of client rooms, and ensures a safe and secure environment Will assist recent staff, oversee volunteers, and work with all staff to ensure facilities meet the needs of guests Sleeping during shifts is not permitted or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Must have current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate Crisis Intervention Skills Training is an asset Excellent communication, writing, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to work with disadvantaged and challenging adults in a diverse environment Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector
