Cardinal Health, with over 1300 employees in Canada, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing all electrical work within the Gananoque facility. Electrical support of the 24/7 automated manufacturing equipment and facility systems within an ISO 13485/FDA environment.

Modify and troubleshoot PLC (Program Logistic Controls) software and PC based control system, in compliance with change control processes. Create and execute preventive maintenance and calibration procedures on all types of electrical components, including 75 different types of equipment and approximately 150 machines in total. Install electrical equipment, controls and wiring on standard products and industrial machinery.

Select operation sequences, locate equipment and wiring details per specifications, cut and bend conduit, pull wires, make connections, perform standardized tests, and adjust as required. Must have a working knowledge of all types of motors and controls including servos, steppers, and induction motors. Must be able to troubleshoot circuitry as well as electronic controls and repair them.

Must know rules and be able to install new services according to Ontario Electrical Code by ESA and be able to read schematic diagrams or electrical and electronic equipment. Operate under Lean Manufacturing Principles in an ISO 13485 environment. Perform work in keeping with Corporate Maintenance Excellence program and Maximo Maintenance IT Platform.

Follow site’s 5S systems and processes. Responsible for seeing that all tasks are performed in a manner that complies with Cardinal’s Policies & Procedures, and all regulatory requirements.

Certified

Electrician or Electrical Technician or Certified Electro Mechanic strongly preferred. You preferably have experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.



You have Knowledge of PLC and robust troubleshooting skills.

You must have excellent knowledge of industrial electrical control circuitry. Knowledge of vision systems an asset. You are comfortable to work in 24/7 shift work environment. Full dental and health benefits including life insurance from day 1.
