Hydro is looking for a Journeyperson Powerline Technician to support electric distribution systems. This role reports to the Operations Manager and requires weekly standby duty alongside emergency and planned overtime. Excellent knowledge of overhead and underground power lines and a commitment to safety is essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities:

- Perform construction and maintenance of electrical distribution systems
- Execute live line work on electrical distribution lines up to 44kV




- Manage ESA permits and locate requirements
- Ensure compliance with ESA and company safety standards
- Complete service orders within required time frames

Requirements:

- Certification as a Journeyperson Powerline Technician
- Valid Ontario driver’s license with Class “DZ”
- Current certificates in First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS
- Ability to perform manual calculations and read blueprints
- Proven track record in safety and mechanical aptitude
