Coco Bakery in Mississauga, ON started as a small store front shop with just five employees. In less than 10 years, we have grown to become North America’s largest manufacturer of French macarons and cake pops. We offer branded and private-label products to diverse clients, including retail and food service.

Coco Bakery is part of Bond Bakery Brands, a stakeholder-focused investment platform started by three friends. Together, we are building better bakeries.

The Role:

The Junior Accountant will be well versed in Sage50 and SAP. The primary function will be day-to-day full cycle accounting, including all AR and AP, inventory functions, accounts reconciliation, collections and customer communications, month/year-end activities, and supporting internal/external financial audits.

As a key player in the finance team, they will be responsible for:

- Full cycle AR/AP including invoicing, cash application, collections and customer communications, account reconciliation, daily deposits, and customer statements
- Maintaining all financial records, general ledger, and financial statements; posting journal entries
- Receive invoices and match them with purchase orders/work orders
- Communicate with customers, both internal and external, via phone/email; resolve any inquires related to payment and/or invoicing
- Manage and collect on outstanding account receivables (i.e. reaching out to past due accounts and monitoring higher-risk customers, etc.).
- Support with preparation for internal and external financial audits.
- Assisting with month end/year end activities (i.e. depreciation entries, manual journal entries, inventory counts, etc.)
- Research and resolve cash receipt discrepancies
- Manage petty cash
- Assist with payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now
- All other duties as assigned and required by the Company





Experience and Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of solid experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
- Previous experience working in production accounting is preferred.
- Strong technical abilities/skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Previous working knowledge of SAP, Sage50 or comparable system.
- High attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a positive, proactive customer service mindset.
