McElhanney Ltd. has an opportunity for a Junior Civil Engineer (EIT) to join our Land Development team in Kamloops, BC, with an anticipated start date of May 2027 or after graduation. In this role, you will support a variety of land development projects and provide innovative, integrated consulting services to public and private sector clients. This position offers a mix of office and field work, giving you the opportunity to contribute to projects through design support, coordination, construction review, and client-focused project delivery.

Provide design support for land development projects, including site grading, roadworks, stormwater management, servicing, utilities, and related municipal infrastructure.

Assist in preparing design drawings in Autodesk Civil 3D. Prepare construction cost estimates at various stages of the development process. Assist in the preparation of approval, tender and contract documents.





Complete field inspections to monitor the quality and progress of the work being performed. Prepare and adhere to site-specific health and safety plans. Prospect to provide support to other departments (survey and environmental engineering) to learn about and develop a holistic approach to project execution.

Work with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution. Registration in good standing as an engineer-in-training (EIT) in British Columbia, or eligibility to be registered.

High productivity, attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work well in a team environment.

Valid
