Hayes Autobody & Glass is looking for a motivated and reliable Junior Automotive Technician to join our team in Thompson, Manitoba. We are seeking someone with 1–4 years of automotive experience who is interested in developing their skills in vehicle repair and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Mechanical knowledge and experience are considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist with mechanical repairs, maintenance, and inspections on a variety of vehicles
- Assist senior technicians with vehicle repairs and troubleshooting
- Perform basic mechanical and automotive repair work
- Assist with autobody-related work when required
- Remove and install vehicle components and parts
- Follow repair procedures and workplace safety practices
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work as part of a team to complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
- Communicate any vehicle issues or repair concerns to the supervisor or senior technician
Qualifications
- 1–4 years of automotive or related work experience
- Basic knowledge of automotive mechanical systems
- Mechanical experience is an asset
- Experience in an autobody shop is an asset
- Ability to use basic automotive tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction
- Valid driver's licence is an asset
