About the Position

Between The Buns - Delisle is seeking an experienced and organized Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent food quality, efficient service, and a clean, safe working environment. The Kitchen Manager will supervise kitchen staff, coordinate food preparation, manage inventory and supplies, control food costs, and maintain high standards throughout daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation activities.
- Supervise, train, and support cooks, prep cooks, and kitchen helpers.
- Assign kitchen duties and coordinate staff workflow during each shift.
- Ensure sandwiches, burgers, sides, sauces, and other menu items are prepared consistently.
- Monitor food quality, portion sizes, presentation, and freshness.
- Plan daily preparation according to expected customer volume.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate ordering of food and kitchen supplies.
- Receive deliveries and ensure ingredients are stored safely and properly.
- Label, date, and rotate ingredients using FIFO procedures.
- Control food waste, portioning, and kitchen operating costs.
- Maintain clean and organized refrigerators, freezers, prep areas, and storage spaces.
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are followed.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance or repair issues.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time.
- Handle kitchen-related customer concerns and service issues professionally.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and guidance when needed.




- Assist with staff scheduling and daily operational planning.
- Ensure proper opening, closing, and cleaning procedures are completed.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive kitchen environment.
- Communicate operational needs and important issues to restaurant management.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in kitchen management, supervision, or a senior culinary position.
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Experience supervising, training, and motivating kitchen staff.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
- Experience with inventory control, ordering, portioning, and waste reduction.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Reliable, professional, and able to lead by example.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $17.00-$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 33.0 per week
