Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble Japanese cuisine dishes, including tempura, and other traditional offerings, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station to ensure food safety and efficient workflow
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling and safety protocols at all times
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to support smooth service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high quality standards
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests, providing excellent food service experience
- Follow all health regulations and safety guidelines to uphold the integrity of food safety practices within the kitchen
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with a focus on Japanese cuisine or similar culinary styles
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly specific to Japanese dishes
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations within the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Experience with serving guests is a plus, demonstrating professionalism and customer-oriented service mindset
- Kitchen experience in the food industry is highly desirable; familiarity with sushi or Japanese cooking techniques is a bonus
