This Combined Lab/X-Ray Tech I (CXLT I / MRT I) position performs quality general radiology and portable examinations in the busy and dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Department at the Cardston Health Centre. Close collaboration with technical staff, nursing, patients, physicians, supervisor and management is required. Located in Cardston the Health Centre is an acute care facility that services a large area of southwestern Alberta.

Located 40 mins from Waterton Cardston is a beautiful area that offers many outdoor activities. As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites.

Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT). MRT/CLXT technologist with strong radiation safety and technical skills in general radiology and portables required.

Demonstrated proficient organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication and computer skills. Demonstrated interest in skilled growth and continued education. Demonstrated tact, courtesy and professionalism with patients, students, AHS staff and physicians.
