About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Role Overview:



The Warehouse Labourer will be responsible for delivering daily samples to Wawa and providing other pick-up and delivery services as required. Will also assist warehouse team with shipping, receiving, and inventory counts, and other warehouse duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for ensuring the daily samples are delivered to Wawa from the mine site in a timely manner.
- Pick up mail daily and packages from local business as required.
- Assist warehouse team with receiving, issuing, and shipping of parts and materials.
- Assist with special projects in the warehouse.
- Conduct cycle counts.
- Operate forklift on a regular basis.
- Follow established policies and procedures related to receiving parts and materials and comply with established methodologies and quality standards.

Qualifications

- High‑school graduation.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations.
- Must be able to work autonomously while exercising sound judgement.
- Must have a valid Ontario G class driver’s license.
- Must be able to operate forklifts or other equipment as required.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate.

Working Conditions





Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions. This will be a 7/7 rotation.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand or sit for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and so forth.

The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on a 7/7 rotation schedule with flights provided from Sudbury, Toronto, and Rouyn‑Noranda.
