Job Summary
Interested in a career in the Green Industry? GardenBox - Vancouver is looking for a full time Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at our Vancouver location. You will be managing multiple maintenance routes, both strata and residential and one time projects.
You will have frequent and at times, daily communication with Ownership via phone calls and emails as well as monthly meetings to go over high level procedures. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual with the following:
- 5 years experience in relevant horticultural roles.
- Is comfortable at adapting to a fast changing environment.
- Is calm under pressure.
- Has previous experience managing up to 8 employees.
- Has impeccable problem solving, work ethic, time management and organisational skills.
- Has robust interpersonal skills and experience in conflict management.
- Is extremely reliable.
- Has a background in basic business practices and/or sales.
Role Offerings
- Hands-On Training with Ownership over the Winter months.
- Facilitate and manage the growth of one of the Lower Mainland’s up and coming Landscape and Gardening businesses, GardenBox.
- Year-Round, Full-Time Career
- Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 5:00pm Occasional Friday responsibilities (approximately once a month).
- 3 Day Work Weeks during weeks with Statutory Holidays.
- $72,000 Base Salary
- Quarterly Profit Sharing equalling an OTE of approximately $81,000.

Your Duties & Responsibilities!
- Organizing, planning, and communicating work and projects to Crew Leaders in various settings (strata, commercial)
- Overseeing and ensuring quality work on properties and projects
- Ensure the company continues to have a strong online reputation by promoting Google Reviews.
- Quoting one off projects and maintenance contracts.
- Hiring and onboarding of new employees.
- Training and developing the Landscape Crew Leaders and Crew Members.
- Ensure safe work practices are being followed as per WorksafeBC
- Regular communication with our clients through phone, email, and in person meetings.
- Maintaining a detailed log of equipment and vehicle maintenance.
- Ordering new equipment, supplies and hand tools as per company need.
- Building and managing the schedule for 4-5 field crews.
The intended start date for this position is January 4th, 2027. Any external hire will be expected to start immediately to gain valuable experience as a Field Technician (hourly rate) until January 4th, 2027.
Pay: $72,000.00-$81,000.00 per year
