Lead Carpenter / Lead Installer (Residential Exterior Projects)

$30–$44.5/hr + Company Vehicle + Opportunity for Overtime + Full Benefits + RRSP Match

Solaris Canada is hiring a skilled, hands-on Lead Carpenter to run residential exterior installation projects across Edmonton.

This is a working lead role — you’ll take ownership of your own jobs and work alongside a helper to complete high-quality installations. This is not a multi-crew foreman or management position.

With over 25 years in business, Solaris is known for delivering high-end outdoor living solutions including awnings, screens, patio covers, and custom exterior systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Run and complete your own residential exterior install projects
- Work hands-on with a helper to execute awning and motorized screen installations, aluminum pergola framing, sliding "Lumon" glass kit installations, and precision installs. If you have experience that is a bonus but training will be provided.
- Take site measurements, read plans, execute installations, manage job flow
- Ensure clean, professional finishes on every project
- Communicate with the team to document wins, challenges and progress

What You Bring
- 4+ years in residential carpentry (framing + finishing)
- Years of experience with exterior construction or renovation work
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of a job
- Solid layout, measurement, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Fit for work

What You Get

- $30–$40/hr (based on experience)
- Company vehicle provided (for Edmonton-area projects)
- Full group benefits (dental, health, vision)
- RRSP matching program
- Performance bonus program
- 2 weeks vacation + paid personal days
- $500 Health Spending Account
- $200/year tool & clothing allowance
- Paid birthday half-day
- Company events + team-building activities

Work Schedule & Conditions
- 10-hour days, 4 days/week during peak season (March–October)
- 5-day weeks during off-season (November–February)
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Occasional travel outside Edmonton area
- Must be comfortable lifting 80 lbs and working on ladders. Must be qualified at using power tools, layout, taking elevations with a laser, using levels, accuracy and care about workmanship and precision.

Who This Role Is For

You’re a carpenter who

- Wants independence and ownership over your work
- Enjoys running your own jobs from start to finish
- Takes pride in clean, finished installs
- Prefers smaller, organized projects over large construction sites
- Is energetic, healthy and professional
- Brings a positive attitude, willingness to learn and share knowledge with a team.

If you’re looking for a long-term and stable carear role where your craftsmanship matters and you can work independently, we want to hear from you. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$44.50 per hour

Benefits

- Casual dress
- Extended health care
