The Project
Director will spearhead the success of the Átl’ḵa7tsem / Howe Sound Marine Stewardship Initiative (MSI). This leadership role requires expertise in grant writing, marine research, and stakeholder engagement. As the PD, you will manage budgets, lead a team, and report directly to the MSI’s Steering Committee while ensuring compliance with MakeWay policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead MSI’s projects from conception to completion
- Conduct grant writing and financial planning for a $250,000 budget
- Supervise and manage program-related expenses
- Maintain collaborative relationships with community stakeholders
- Represent MSI at events and public engagements Requirements:
- Graduate degree in relevant marine or environmental sciences
- 3-5 years of project leadership experience
- Experience with fundraising and budget management
- Strong communication and organizational skills
