We are looking for a highly autonomous Staff Software Developer to join our client's growing engineering team. You will act as a true product and technical partner, taking ownership of complex engineering challenges, designing scalable solutions, and directly influencing the evolution of the platform. You will work across the stack, help shape architecture decisions, improve engineering practices, and build solutions that integrate seamlessly with customer systems and workflows.

You will leverage modern development tools, including AI-powered technologies and LLMs, to accelerate development, improve productivity, and deliver meaningful business impact. Design, architect, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable features across web and mobile platforms using modern engineering practices. Build infrastructure, tools, and processes that improve efficiency and significantly reduce the time required to onboard and integrate new customers.





Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure engineering decisions align with business objectives and customer needs. Work directly with customers and technology partners when needed to understand requirements, solve technical challenges, and deliver customized integrations. Leverage AI to Improve Engineering Velocity Use LLMs and modern AI development tools to accelerate workflows, understand complex systems, improve code quality, and increase delivery speed.

Help improve system reliability, observability, scalability, and performance while mentoring other engineers and contributing to a strong technical culture.

Technical

Expertise ~10+ years of professional software development experience. ~ Solid experience designing and building scalable backend services using Node.js. ~ Proven ability to build complex web applications using React and/or React Native.

Experience operating at a Staff Engineer level, driving technical direction without requiring formal authority. Ability to make thoughtful technical decisions while balancing business needs and long-term maintainability. Comfortable working across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams. Genuine passion for technology and building products that solve meaningful business problems.

Experience in the building materials, construction, or related industries is an asset, but not required. 160,000 - $220,000 CAD annually, depending on experience. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates located in Canada. #
