Join the RMU kitchen crew

Winter is on the way, and we’re building our kitchen team now. RMU Whistler is hiring Line Cooks to start immediately, learn the kitchen and get ready for the winter season.

We’re looking for people who care about good food, take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a mountain community. Whether you ski, snowboard, bike or climb, we’d love to hear from you. An active mountain lifestyle including 50+ days a year enjoying mountain activities is preferred, but not required.

The role

You’ll help keep our kitchen organized, consistent and ready for service. Some shifts involve working independently; others involve working alongside the kitchen team.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing ingredients and keeping your station ready for service.
- Cooking on the line with consistent quality, presentation and portioning.
- Completing kitchen checklists and daily tasks.
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness, food safety and operating standards.
- Communicating clearly and supporting your teammates through busy service.

What you’ll bring

- At least one year of qualified kitchen experience.
- FoodSafe Level 1 certification before your start date.




- Legal authorisation to work in Canada.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability, a positive attitude and pride in maintaining a well-run kitchen.
- Availability for shifts from 11 a.m. onwards, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Pay and hours

- 25–30 per hour, depending on experience.
- Tips in addition to your hourly wage.
- Approximately 35 hours per week, with hours varying by season.
- Immediate starts available so you can settle in before winter.

Staff benefits — your first three years Our staff benefits grow with your time at RMU:

- On entry: Ski pass buyback.
- 6 months: Medical insurance.
- 1 year: Pay rise.
- 1.5 years: Skis provided for the season.
- 2 years: Pay rise.
- 2.5 years: $500 gear allowance per year.
- 3 years: EDOP.

We’ll explain the benefits program, including ski pass buyback and EDOP, during your interview. Staff accommodation is not provided.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
