Crosstown Craft BBQ

Crosstown Craft BBQ is looking for a hardworking, friendly, and reliable Food Counter Attendant to join our team.

We’re a Texas style BBQ restaurant serving brisket, ribs, pulled pork, sausages, beef cheeks, sides, desserts, and more. Our service is fast paced and straightforward: customers come through the line, choose what they want, and our team builds their order right in front of them.

You’ll be one of the main faces of Crosstown, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys dealing with people, works well under pressure, and takes pride in serving excellent food.

What You'll Be Doing

- Welcome customers and help them through the service line
- Serve and portion sides such as mac & cheese, slaw, potato salad, vegetables, and other menu items
- Help build customer orders quickly and accurately
- Portion sides according to customer orders and our serving standards
- Keep the service line stocked, clean, organized, and looking good
- Answer questions about the menu and explain our different sides
- Make sure orders are accurate before handing them to customers
- Communicate with the kitchen and other members of the team throughout service
- Restock food, containers, utensils, sauces, and other service items
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Keep your station and surrounding areas clean throughout the shift
- Help with basic prep and other restaurant tasks when needed
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining good customer service

- Is reliable and shows up ready to work
- Takes direction and works well with a team
- Pays attention to portion sizes and presentation
- Keeps their station clean and organized
- Is comfortable standing and working for an entire shift
- Has good communication skills
- Has a positive attitude and takes pride in their work

Previous restaurant, BBQ, cafeteria, counter service, or customer service experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

About Crosstown

Crosstown Craft BBQ started as a small Toronto BBQ popup and has grown into a full time restaurant built around Central Texas style BBQ and our own approach to the craft.

We put a lot of attention into the food we serve, from the way we smoke our briskets to the way every order is put together. We’re a growing business, and we’re looking for people who want to be part of building something rather than just showing up for a shift.

Our service can get very busy, especially on weekends. We work hard, move quickly, and have fun doing it.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
