Position Overview The Loader Operator for RM Mobile safely operates a loader and other heavy equipment to keep concrete production running for a major project in Sturgeon County. The role loads aggregates into the batch plant, coordinating with the batcher on production needs, and handles general yard maintenance, housekeeping, and the loading and unloading of shipments. The operator performs daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance, communicates with site supervision and mechanics about repairs, and assists with mobilizing and demobilizing the batch plant.

The ideal candidate is a reliable,



safety-conscious operator with prior loader experience, strong radio communication skills, and the ability to work independently with little supervision.

Responsibilities

- Operate the loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Load aggregates into the batch plant while communicating with the batcher regarding production requirements.
- Maintain a clean and clear work area, clearing debris and other materials when needed.
- Operate the loader to preform general yard maintenance.
- Assist with receiving and loading/unloading incoming and outgoing shipments to the yard.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Operate loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled.
- Perform routine cleanings and maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
- Communicate with site supervision and on-site mechanics regarding maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with demobilization and mobilization of the batch plant as required.
- General housekeeping and yard work.
- Participate in all safety initiatives including but not limited to, wearing PPE, safety meetings, incident reporting, safe work practices/procedures,



etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Valid class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
- At least 1 years’ prior experience operating a loader.
- General construction experience or experience working at a concrete plant.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
- First aid training is preferred.
- CSTS certification and WHMIS training are an asset. is preferred.

Hours of Work Hours of work will vary based on project requirements, typically 8–12-hour shifts, and can include a combination of day shift, afternoon shift or night shift.

Work Environment

- This position will primarily work on remote sites, at mobile concrete batch plants.
- Loader operators will work within a safety sensitive environment and are required to wear PPE.

Physical Demands

- This position is physical in nature and requires frequent bending, crawling, lifting, crouching, climbing, and other physical movements.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
