Job Duties And Responsibilities:

- Start-up and shutdown of machines
- Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports
- Assist with scheduled maintenance (bi-weekly)
- Monitor belts to ensure no jams, stoppages, overall performance of machine
- Monitor metal detectors and look for contaminants in material (metal, wood, debris, etc.)
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as required
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Assist other operators when required

Requirements:

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
- Excellent attendance & punctuality
- Fast learner who is able to follow instructions
- Able to stand for duration of shift and constantly lift up to 50lbs
- Previous experience as a machine operator in a production/manufacturing facility is an asset
