Positions Available: 1 on Shift A

Plant 1

Payband: PB 4

Requirements:

- A minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent is required

- Certificate or diploma in a relevant field considered an asset

- Must have experience in a manufacturing environment and be familiar with machinery set-up.

- Experience with Fanuc or similar robots

- Basic PLC understanding is an asset

- Must be aware of quality, productivity and safety standards as it relates to the job being performed and ensure they are consistently met

- Must have a technical background and have a general understanding of the function and operation of fabricating equipment

- Must be able to read blueprints

- Must be able to read a tape measure

- Must be team oriented

- Must be aware of Epicor computer system log in and log out procedures.

- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License

- Fluent in English (verbal, reading, writing),

- Familiarity with TS16949 or IATF 16949, Quality Audits, and Environmental Management System and OSHA Requirements

- Some knowledge of PLC and HMI programming

Responsibilities

- Set up, program, and optimize robotic and CNC-controlled equipment to support production requirements.

- Coordinate and sequence machine programming requirements to ensure efficient and accurate operation.

- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and machinery.

- Troubleshoot machine, equipment, and process issues, performing root cause analysis to minimize downtime.





- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

- Provide technical support at various facilities and travel to job sites as required to support production needs and equipment performance.

- Ensure all machine setup, programming, and production activities are performed in accordance with established work instructions and quality standards, including coordinating first-off inspections with Quality Assurance for current parts.

- Verify that all in-process and non-conforming materials are properly identified and tagged in accordance with company procedures.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing enhancements to automated equipment and processes to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and minimize downtime.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members in robotic programming, machine setup, and automated manufacturing applications.

- Assist Plant Management and Engineering by providing technical expertise, project support, and input for equipment and process-related cost estimates.

- Utilize strong troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment,



programming, and production issues in a timely manner.

- Ensure production schedules and operational requirements are achieved through effective machine setup, programming, and equipment optimization.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards and housekeeping practices.

- Work in compliance of the O.H.S.A. and site policies. Report all workplace incidents/accidents to your supervisor. Use and wear the protective clothing, equipment or devices issued for protection and ensure that they are properly maintained.

Notify

Supervisor if any protective material, equipment or device is missing or not functioning properly. Report unsafe acts or unsafe conditions.
