Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations across resort facilities. In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and compliance. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage maintenance teams, and implement preventive strategies that maximize operational efficiency.

Duties

- Must be available days, evenings and weekends.
- Lead and supervise maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repair and upkeep of machinery, electrical systems, greens equipment, and other resort equipment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules implementing a Computerized Maintenance System to optimize equipment uptime.
- Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, and repairs, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines.
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical equipment, mechanical systems, and infrastructure to identify potential issues before they cause downtime.
- Collaborate with staff to coordinate maintenance activities with resort schedules, minimizing disruptions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, work orders, safety reports, and compliance records.

Skills

- Strong management and supervisory experience leading maintenance teams in a resort setting.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.




- Extensive knowledge of resort maintenance practices including mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, air conditioning systems, pool, hot tub and sauna.
- Familiarity to implement management and preventive maintenance planning.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team development and safety compliance.
- Effective communication skills in English for clear reporting and collaboration across departments.

- Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and prevent issues before they arise
- Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, doors, windows, and other building components with precision and care
- Assist with installation of new fixtures or equipment to improve facility functionality
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure accurate documentation
- Knowledge of pools, hot tubs and sauna maintenance
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management to minimize downtime




- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities to protect yourself and others
- Collaborate with vendors or contractors when specialized repairs or inspections are required

Experience

- Proven experience in building maintenance, repair work, or a similar hands-on role is highly preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and general carpentry techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions quickly
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for record keeping
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing safety and quality standards
- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various environments
- Certifications such as HVAC certification or electrical licenses are a plus but not mandatory

- This position is in Grand Bend, ON. A successful applicant must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
