Role Overview As an Underground Millwright , you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of underground mining equipment and infrastructure. Reporting to the Underground Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing underground equipment while supporting safe and efficient mining operations. Working closely with maintenance and operations teams, you will help maximize equipment availability and operational performance.

Equipment Installation & Maintenance: Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery including hoisting plants, pumps, fans, tanks, and conveyors.

Technical Interpretation: Read, understand, and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance documentation.

Preventative Maintenance: Maintain underground maintenance systems and carry out scheduled maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability. Follow all safety procedures and perform additional duties assigned by the Underground Maintenance Supervisor as required. Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining mining or industrial equipment, preferably in a gold mining environment. Proven track record of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy industrial and underground equipment.

Provincial Industrial Millwright Journeyman Trade





Certificate is preferred.

Basic Underground Common
