What ties it all together are the friendly faces you’ll find along the way, the thoughtful amenities, and the delightful details that make every visit feel personal and unforgettable.As the Maintenance Supervisor at one of Pursuit's Jasper properties, Chateau Jasper, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance of all physical structures which include but are not limited to the following: guest rooms, parking ares, utility rooms, , outdoor patios, pool, and spa.
The goal of this position is to ensure the hotel premises are safe, functional and attractive and to ensure guests are receiving service that meets Pursuit's standards.
The Maintenance
Supervisor will oversee the day to day work assignments of maintenance team members by planning and assigning tasks, and monitoring work quality to ensure proper upkeep of all facilities while ensuring safety.ROLE &
• RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise the maintenance activities of the propertyAssist with the upkeep of all Pursuit company vehiclesCoordinate maintenance activities with Hotel ManagerAssist with the maintenance and upkeep of all staff housing unitsAssist with the coordination of all renovations on the propertyCommunicate, and perform preventative maintenance of the propertyTrain and mentor maintenance workers in all aspects of property maintenance and effective communicationComplete responsibility of all onsite maintenance workers and activities – highlights would include Health and Safety of the team, Pool &
• Hot tub maintenance and best practices, septic field management, implementing and maintaining processes and procedures of all on site equipment.Prepare schedules for Maintenance Workers and ensure all shifts are coveredFrequent interaction with coworkers, management and guestsAssist with payroll control as it pertains to the Maintenance DepartmentLandscaping, snow removal, and parking lot cleaningEnsure, train, and participate in safe work practices as well as fire proceduresEnsure use of Limble (mtn mgmt system) is used effectively by all team membersREQUIRED SKILLS &
• QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of three (3) years’ experience in a related maintenance field (basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment,
and painting)Must possess excellent mechanical ability and knowledgeMust be able to train staff and give directionMust be able to perform administrative functions, and a basic knowledge of computersCreative thinking and problem-solving skillsPossess excellent interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of tools and their uses (tools provided)Ability to manage large workloads and demands, and effectively multitaskAbility to work flexible shifts, such as day (ex. 7am-3pm) or night (ex. 3pm-11pm)Valid driver’s license (Class 4 Alberta driver’s license is an asset)About Us:We're more than a hospitality and attractions company.
