Seastar Chemicals ULC, a division of Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company, is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician for our Manufacturing Operations organization. This Sidney, British Columbia CAN role is full-time on-site, Monday- Friday, standard working hours, requiring voluntary on-call time. Maintenance, mechanical and/or electrical experience in an industrial or educational setting Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors; Maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies/ inventories using an advanced maintenance management system (AMMS).
Assisting in troubleshooting, repairs and maintaining electrical and electronic circuitry; Repairing and maintaining facilities and equipment. With equipment/facility maintenance. Repairing electrical/mechanical machinery.
With electrical, pneumatics, PLC logic, plastic welding.
The Sidney Manufacturing Facility focusses on: Propriety quality systems designed specifically to meet industry standards Three ICP-MS units on site for trace metal analysis Research and development for high-purity acid and semiconductor thin film deposition Delivering results against complex business and technology initiatives the flexible and self-motivated Maintenance Technician will: Strive to improve machine performance to minimize downtime through prior planning and quick thorough machine repairs.
