Join Genome BC as a Research and Innovation Manager specializing in Fisheries and Aquaculture, driving collaboration and technology advancements. Work to enhance BC's sustainable blue economy. This full-time role replaces maternity leave and reports to the Director of Research & Innovation, Agrifood and Natural Resources.
You will prioritize partnerships and co-investment opportunities with industry, government, and non-profits while leading strategic initiatives aimed at improving aquatic ecosystems. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate technology readiness for aquaculture applications
- Develop key partnerships with stakeholders and governments
- Assist in crafting compelling funding proposals
- Monitor project deliverables and performance
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Genome BC’s initiatives
Requirements:
- Graduate degree with minimum 3 years of experience
- Background in biotechnology or biological engineering
- Proven strategic partnership experiences
- Strong financial analysis and project management skills
- Ability to adapt and succeed in rapid-paced environments
