Reporting To: Marketing and Communications Team Lead Position Type: Full-time Permanent (37.5 hours/week) Our Marketing and Communications Team is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Generalist to join our high-caliber group. As a collaborative team player, you take pride in executing high-quality deliverables efficiently while fostering an engaging, positive team atmosphere. In this role, you will help develop and implement internal and external marketing and communication strategies across Solaris MCI and our broader group entities.
Reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Team Lead, you will contribute across digital campaigns, content creation, brand governance, internal communications, event coordination, and media relations.
Campaign Execution & Strategy: Conduct industry and market research to optimize outreach; evaluate and analyze campaign performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations.
Content Creation & Asset Production: Draft clear, engaging content briefs and oversee the production of graphics, short-form video, and promotional materials (print and digital); perform light editing on multimedia assets as required. brief graphic designers and enforce strict corporate brand alignment across all collateral.
Social Media & Community Management: Lead social media planning, copywriting, scheduling, community engagement, and sentiment monitoring, alongside regular KPI tracking and reporting.
Web & Digital Optimization: Manage website updates and UX improvements with the web development team; optimize digital content for SEO and accessibility (WCAG compliance).
Collateral & Vendor Management: Coordinate end-to-end production of digital and physical collateral (e.g., brochures, business cards); manage vendor quoting, purchase orders (POs), proofing,
and delivery timelines.
Internal Communications: Coordinate internal communication programs, including employee newsletters, town halls, and internal culture-building events.
Media Relations & PR: Manage external media partnerships, assist with press release drafting and distribution, update media contact lists, and support PR coordination during corporate milestones.
Event Support & Business Development: Review and polish business development presentation decks; provide on-the-ground logistical support for career fairs, industry summits, and corporate conferences.
Mentorship: Provide daily guidance, review work, and support the skilled onboarding of junior colleagues and co-op students. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of professional marketing/communications experience, with at least 1 year demonstrating end-to-end campaign ownership. Proven working knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), social platform analytics, and campaign reporting methodologies.
Writing & Editorial: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills with strong editing and proofreading capabilities.
Digital Platforms: Hands-on experience with modern Content Management Systems (CMS), on-page SEO best practices, and digital accessibility principles (WCAG).
Media & PR Tools: Familiarity with press release distribution networks, media liaison practices, and basic media monitoring. Design & Multimedia (Asset): Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or Canva is considered an asset. Connects tactical marketing executions to broader business objectives and organizational growth.
Collaborative: Establishes strong rapport with engineers, business development leads, corporate executives, and HR partners.
