Could you be the full-time Maintenance Vehicle Technician in Ottawa, ON we’re looking for? Full-Time Position As a Maintenance Vehicle Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and productive operation of the vehicle fleet. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs while maintaining compliance with all health, safety, and quality requirements.

Maintain vehicles in accordance with specified quality procedures and maintenance standards. Perform maintenance activities safely, including work on powered-up vehicles when required. Follow all applicable health and safety legislation, company policies, and safe work procedures.

Conduct daily fleet inspections. Carry out preventive maintenance examinations and corrective maintenance work. Utilize onboard computerized systems, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation to complete assigned work.

Exchange, repair, and replace vehicle assets and components. Record maintenance activities, inspections, and work orders through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Supervise and/or coordinate subcontractor activities when required.

Read and interpret technical reports, procedures, and maintenance manuals. Support additional activities such as overhauls, software updates,



and asset repairs as operationally required. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: Minimum 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician or certified automotive technician.

Educational background in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical disciplines. Knowledge of the rail or vehicle maintenance environment is considered an asset. Working knowledge of quality standards and health and safety requirements.

Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as operationally required. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize daily workload. Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and work requirements.

The expected compensation for this role is $33.30 per hour, plus benefits.
