Relocation Opportunity

Sima is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Mechanic/Maintenance Person to maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of resort vehicles, machinery, and equipment — small engines, snowcats, chairlifts, work trucks, building maintenance, and more.
This role is critical to ensuring the safe and reliable operation of on-mountain and base-area equipment throughout the winter and summer operating seasons.
Equipment
Maintenance & Repair Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on: Pickup trucks and fleet vehicles Skid steers and other heavy equipment Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues. Complete scheduled inspections and service intervals. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
Operational Support
Assist with equipment setup, seasonal commissioning, and decommissioning. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment. Participate in safety meetings and training programs. Inventory & Shop Management Monitor parts inventory and recommend replenishment of stock to Operations Manager. Maintain tools, shop equipment, and service areas.
Valid
Class 5 Driver’s Licence — YT licence or other provincial licence.
Journeyperson Heavy Equipment
Technician, Automotive Service Technician, or equivalent experience. Knowledge of hydraulic systems, welding, and fabrication.
Experience working in remote or northern environments. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings during the operating season.
Understanding the nature of our industry, additional hours may be needed during peak season such as snowmaking and Preseason, Christmas Break and Spring Break.
