Advance Insulation is a growing mechanical insulation contractor based in the Niagara Region. We specialize in installing thermal and protective insulation systems on mechanical piping, ductwork, equipment, and tanks across commercial and industrial job sites. We pride ourselves on top-quality craftwork, site safety, and maintaining a respectful, team-first environment.

What We Offer

- Top-Tier Pay: $28.00 – $32.00/hour to start (commensurate with trade experience)

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Occasional afternoon shifts, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, required based on project demands)

Key Responsibilities
- Installation: Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials (fiberglass, calcium silicate, elastomeric foam, mineral wool, cellular glass) to mechanical piping, plumbing, heating/cooling systems, and HVAC ductwork.
- Finishing & Jacketing: Apply vapor barriers, protective finishes, PVC covers, aluminum/metal jacketing, and canvas/mastic coatings according to project specifications.
- Quality & Detail: Ensure neat, precise installations that control thermal loss, prevent condensation, and meet building code standards.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe working workplace, adhere to site protocols, and properly manage company tools and equipment.

Travel & Transportation Expectations
- Primary Coverage: Most job sites are located across the Niagara Region (St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland, Fort Erie, etc.).
- Regional Travel:



Occasional travel to surrounding areas (e.g., Hamilton / Haldimand) may be required depending on project scope.
- Vehicle Requirements: Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and reliable personal transportation to report directly to daily assigned job sites across the region on time.

Qualifications & Requirements Must-Haves:
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years of proven experience as a Mechanical / Thermal Insulator in commercial or industrial settings.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with standard trade hand tools (knives, shears, calipers, staplers, metal benders) and understanding of thermal insulation applications.
- Physical Demands: Comfortable working at heights, in tight or confined spaces, on ladders/scaffolding, and able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- PPE: Must possess standard PPE (CSA-approved work boots, hardhat, high-vis vest, safety glasses).
- Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving skills, sharp attention to detail, and a positive, collaborative attitude.

Certifications & Assets (Preferred):
- Working at Heights Certification (Required upon start)
- WHMIS 2015 Certification (Required upon start)
- Aerial Lift / Scissor Lift Certification (Required upon start)
- Confined Space Entry Certification
