Our Toronto office is looking for an Account Director, Client Experience, Healthcare, who is a seasoned public relations consultant responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts including some of Canada’s largest pharmaceutical and wellness brands. You thrive on the art of client partnership, excel at orchestrating complex multi-disciplinary teams, and understand how to transform a client’s business challenge into a high-impact, award-winning communications strategy.
As a trusted advisor, you adeptly balance high-touch relationship management with flawless program execution and commercial acumen.Lead account client serviceto foster relationship-building, open dialogue, strategic counsel, and thought leadership. Facilitate integration effortsbetween the agency and its partners (other agencies or corporate partners). Partner with senior counselorsin the development of communication strategies.
Oversee execution of client strategies and implementation of tactical plans. Collaborate with internal specialists, including media relations, digital communications, and creative teams. Manage projects, budgets, and billingprocesses.
Maintain thorough knowledge of Canadian regulations related to traditional media, social media and influencer engagement. Six to seven years of agency experience, with a strong focus on healthcare and pharmaceutical corporate/product brands. Robust understanding of traditional and social media within the healthcare sector.
Have hands‑on experience navigating regulatory frameworks for healthcare products (such as the Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board [PAAB], Advertising Standards Canada [ASC], and Health Canada). Master social media and digital communication techniques, including a solid Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong administrative writing capabilities. Sound financial acumenand ease in managing budgets.
University degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES A passion for creativity, innovation, and delivering high-quality client work. Ability to manage competing demandsand meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic, and exciting environment.
Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industryand a keen interest in current events and industry trends. Excellent professional judgmentin relations with team members, clients, and third-party vendors. Exceptional attention to detailand commitment to quality work.
