Currently hiring for a Part Time Medical Office Assistant to work out of the Kaye Edmonton Clinic with the Alberta Sinus Centre. The Alberta Sinus Centre specializes in surgical treatment of complex sinus problems. The mission of the Alberta Sinus Centre is to develop a centre of excellence for the treatment and study of nasal and sinus disorders as well as the extended applications of endoscopic sinus surgery.

Duties would include

- Answering the phones and assisting patients with scheduling appointments.
- Maintaining patient records via EMR.
- Rooming patients.
- Receiving and sending faxes.
- Maintaining a referral waitlist and contacting patients for appointments.
- Consenting and booking patients for surgery.
- Report to the Full Time Medical Office Assistant and Dr. Erin Wright.

Qualifications:
- Medical Office Assistant Diploma and past experience an asset
- History with ConnectCare preferred.

Skills:
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.




- Ability to work with team members collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills.

- Assist with billing, insurance verification, and processing payments efficiently using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups to optimize provider availability
- Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, collecting medical histories, and ensuring all documentation is complete and organized
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, copying, and managing office supplies to keep the front desk running smoothly

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 14.0 – 21.0 per week
