Unlock Your Career Potential: Join our Team of Physical Therapists and Enjoy our Outstanding Benefits! ~ Perks (Health, Dental, Vision) ~ Yearly performance appraisals and team award bonus ~ Community discounts ~ Acute Care Physical Therapist Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for acute-care patients, including those with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, medical/surgical, and trauma-related conditions. Provide interventions including therapeutic exercise,
functional mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and patient/caregiver education. Document evaluations, daily treatments, progress notes, and discharge recommendations in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, case managers, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, and other members of the care team. Collaborate on discharge planning, including recommending appropriate next levels of care and durable medical equipment. Maintain compliance with departmental safety procedures, infection prevention practices, and quality standards.
Support mentorship, onboarding, and collaboration with therapy assistants and students as applicable. Required PT (Physical Therapy) Or PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to obtain Or PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary and licensure within 6 months Required Bachelor's Physical Therapy Preferred 1 year Physical Therapist Location: St Josephs Main Hospital - Tampa, FL Status: Full Time, Exempt: No Shift Hours: 4 10-hours alternate Wed - Sat/Tues - Fri Shift: Days Weekend Work: Every Other How often will this team member be working remotely?
