The Diagnostic Imaging department offers general radiography, CT, and US service.
The Medical Radiation
Technician I position includes days, evenings, weekends and on-call with a 30-minute response time. Relocation assistance based on eligibility & availability. As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis.
You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications: Recent experience as a Medical Radiation Technologist performing procedures in general diagnostic imaging, including hospital affiliated training programs. Ability to work under pressure and in emergencies. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians.
Practices effective radiation protection, infection control and safety techniques as applicable. Proficient computer skills. Ability to interpret, explain and apply applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications: Recent mobile radiography experience. A satisfactory criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search is required prior to your first day of work. Communities.
