Join our fast-paced Peace River team, where you can begin training in CT immediately. You’ll gain experience in a broad scope of imaging, including trauma, mammography, fluoroscopy, and invasive procedures, while building your clinical confidence and skills.

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Alberta Health Services currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis.

You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

HSAA Facility PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Multi-Site: Not Applicable Employee Class: Regular Full Time Length of Shift in weeks: Shifts per cycle: 30 Days Off: As Per Rotation Classification: Medical Radiation Tech II Union: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Multi-Site: Not Applicable Employee Class: Regular Full Time Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: Shifts per cycle: 30 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Required Qualifications: Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications: Completion of IV Certification and experience with CT imaging, particularly with CTIC, is considered an asset.Experience in mammography, particularly with BCIS, is considered an asset. A satisfactory criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search is required prior to your first day of work.
