Bernard, MD, MSc, a clinician-scientist, is looking for a motivated person to fill the position of full-time Research Associate. The team specializes in genetic white matter diseases, leukodystrophies, and related disorders. Under the direction of the principal investigator, the candidate participates in the execution of various activities including expertise in iPSC maintenance, differentiation of iPSCs into various CNS cell types (Oligodendrocytes, Neurons etc), 3D organoids and assembloids.
Successful candidate will also oversee multidisciplinary research projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams. The candidate is also expected to contribute to grant writing. Help supervise the overall iPSC Platform, Generate CRISPR edited iPSC lines, Coordinate multiple research projects, Support project planning and strategic initiatives, Contribute to grant writing.
Standards of performance This position requires an advanced knowledge of oral and written French. An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required,
as the position requires regular and complex contact with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English. The position also requires complex writing or in-depth analysis of documents in English related to a research project.
Experience in CRISPR editing of iPSCs , Proficiency in written and spoken French and English required, Excellent planning, organization, time-management skills, Excellent communication and networking skills, Experience with training/supervising students and projects, Experience with project management.
