The Acute Inpatient Psychiatry

Unit provides comprehensive psychiatric services 24/7 for adults in crisis. As a Registered Nurse, you will bring your expertise in mental health to manage symptoms and support patient recovery.

Your role will involve assessments, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough mental health assessments for patients
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer pharmacological treatments as prescribed




- Facilitate health teaching initiatives for patients and families
- Collaborate with psychology, social work, and other professionals

Requirements:

- Valid Certificate of Registration from College of Nurses Ontario
- 1-2 years of mental health experience in active care
- Basic Life Support certification within the past year
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act and psychotropic medications
- Bilingualism in English and French required
